•    A local printers for the purpose of printing the Order of Service
•    A local charity with the purpose of arranging any charitable donations
•    A local florist with the purpose of arranging any floral tributes
•    A local doctor with the purpose of completion of documentation required for a funeral service (cremation forms /death certificate)
•    A local stone mason with the purpose of arranging a headstone
•    Newspaper organisations with the purpose releasing a death notice or obituary


3.4  Retention period
Shilvocks Independent Funeral Directors Ltd will process personal data for 3 months intend to use the data or the criteria by which you will determine this e.g. for as long as is necessary to allow us to fulfil your funeral services) and will store the personal data for at least 3 months, it will be destroyed by 6 months. We will hold one paper copy alongside the signed instructions form, permanently for future referencing purposes. We will electronically hold personal data permanently for future reference purposes eg for a family requesting the same or similar services in the future. All details linked with financing for the funeral will be kept for seven years in line with HMRC regulations.


3.5  Your rights as a data subject
At any point while we are in possession of or processing your personal data, you, the data subject, have the following rights:
•    Right of access – you have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you.
•    Right of rectification – you have a right to correct data that we hold about you that is inaccurate or incomplete.
•    Right to be forgotten – in certain circumstances you can ask for the data we hold about you to be erased from our records.
•    Right to restriction of processing – where certain conditions apply to have a right to restrict the processing.
•    Right of portability – you have the right to have the data we hold about you transferred to another organisation.
•    Right to object – you have the right to object to certain types of processing such as direct marketing.
•    Right to object to automated processing, including profiling – you also have the right to be subject to the legal effects of automated processing or profiling.
